Our springs
Two springs, two characters.
Afyon water rises through the volcanic rock of the Phrygian highlands and is rich in bicarbonate. Erzincan water comes from the mountains of eastern Anatolia and is one of the most magnesium-rich mineral waters in Türkiye.
Natural mineral water comes out of the ground this way.
- Step 1It starts undergroundWater sinks deep into the rock and rises again at a protected spring, picking up its minerals on the way.
- Step 2Nothing is added to the mineralsEvery mineral in the bottle was put there by the spring, and the mix has to stay stable from year to year.
- Step 3It is bottled at the springKızılay is filled at the springs in Afyonkarahisar and Erzincan, where the water comes out of the ground.
Heritage
A spring with a very long memory.
People have bathed in and drunk from the waters of Gazlıgöl since Phrygian times. In 1926 Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Turkish Republic, gave the springs to the Turkish Red Crescent, and Kızılay mineral water has been bottled there ever since. In 2026 it turns one hundred.
